Rung starting at 19:05 hours as part of "Battles Over - A  Nation's Tribute" to mark the centenary of the armistice.
During this ringing, the two beacons at either end of the Hartlepool coast were lit.
In December 1914 just yards from the Town Moor Beacon, Theophilus Jones, a soldier in the Durham Light Infantry, would become the first person killed on British soil during enemy action for 200 years. This marked the start of the Bombardment by the German Navy, in which over 100 Hartlepool civilians lost their lives.
Lest we forget.
