Rung half-muffled on the centenary of the signing of the Armistice, remembering all those who fell, and in particular Thomas Kendall, great great uncle of Billy Brooke, and Alfred Forman, great grandfather of Peter Hughes. The quarter was followed by whole pull and stand on all eight bells.
"Why do they never tell us that you are poor devils like us, that your mothers are just as anxious as ours, and that we have the same fear of death, and the same dying and the same agony - Forgive me, comrade; how could you be my enemy?" (Erich Maria Remarque, "All Quiet on the Western Front")

This performance is linked to the event Ringing for the Centenary of the WWI Armistice.
