Rung to celebrate the lives of Joy Petrie and Karl Schmidt who died recently . Joy was tower captain at Dowlish Wake and during World War 2 gave service . Karl was an ex Prisoner of War who after the end of hostilities in 1945 settled in England and gave much service to the local community as a psychiatrist in the NHS . Both were much loved residents of Dowlish Wake .
