Rung half muffled in memory of all those killed in World War 1, especially the men of Tadcaster and particularly Bombardier Frank Poole, Private John W Garbutt and Private Fred Dennison who were ringers at this tower. Frank Poole and John Garbutt rang in the first peal on the bells, in 1912, which was also Grandsire Triples.
