Lest We Forget
Specially arranged and rung during Remembrance-tide with the bells half muffled to mark the Centenary of the Armistice. Rung remembering all those who were killed during the Great War 1914-1918, especially the 38 men & boys from this village who did not return.
We Will Remember Them!
Their Name Liveth For Evermore
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.
The Roll of Honour and Poppy Wreath were placed in the centre of the ringing circle whilst this peal was rung.
St Martin’s Doubles was specially chosen as the Armistice fell on St Martin’s Day.
The ringers of 1, 2, 4 & 6 are all members of the local band.

This performance is linked to the events: Saint Andrew's and All Saints Society — Branston Remembers (WW1 commemorations) and Ringing for the Centenary of the WWI Armistice
