With best wishes to Revd Canon Melia Cope on her retirement.

[This was meant to be a peal attempt. The peal was organised at relatively short notice with nine ringers indicating that they were available to ring. Ropes went to the first eight to reply. On the day only seven turned up. A local ringer was contacted and asked if he could come and ring a QP with us, it being too late to start a peal. He said he would come once he had put his trousers on, but in the event he somehow went to Presteigne and found no-one there. Once contact had been re-established we eventually ended up with eight ringers, all complete with trousers. A QP was duly rung. With thanks to Noel Anderson for ringing at such short notice!]
