Rung half-muffled on the centenary of the death of Walter Jeremiah Williams. Walter was born in Buxhall in 1880, living at Mulletts Farm with his parents, five brothers and two sisters by 1901. By 1911 he and his wife were living in Kensington, West London. Walter joined the RAF and became a Private 3rd Class, stationed at No. 2 Stores Depot, Regents Park, London. He died on 4 October 1918 of the Spanish Influenza, aged 38. Private Walter Williams is buried in Buxhall Churchyard.
