Rung half-muffled on the centenary of the death of Walter Leslie Williams: born in 1899 and lived with his family (mother, father, four brothers and five sisters) in Buxhall, Walter enlisted at Ipswich in early summer 1918. He was drafted to France on 18 September, joined his new battalion on 23 September and was killed in action on 29 September 1918 during what was probably his first encounter with the enemy. Private Walter Williams, aged 19, has no known grave.

This performance is linked to the event Buxhall, Suffolk: In memoriam our fallen (1914-1918).
