In memory of Private Frank Laflin, Canadian Army Medical Corps, 5th Field Ambulance, Service no. 527596. Born Stoke by Nayland, Suffolk - 8th May 1888. Killed by enemy shell fire while escorting wounded men to a waiting ambulance at Monchy Le Preux, south east of Arras, on 26th August 1918. Elder brother of Sapper Peter Laflin, Royal Engineers (a ringer) who survived the war.
