Rung by the local band with the bells half muffled as a mark of respect and in fond memory of Pam Garner, on the eve of her funeral.
Pam has played a huge part in the life of St Andrew’s Church. She served as Church Warden here at St Andrew’s for 19 years (1998 – 2017), sat on the PCC for 33 years up until 2017 and has been Organist here for 35 years, a post she took up back in 1983 and has very much loved and enjoyed doing, in fact she was still playing our Organ each week and leading our Community Choir. Pam was also Chair of the Bell Fund Committee between 1999 & 2004 when we were raising funds to restore and augment our bells.
She will be greatly missed by us all, not only for her loyal and tireless dedication and commitment to this Church but also we will miss her warm kind smile which she would always greet you with. Rest in peace Pam.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Pam’s family at this difficult time.
This variation was first rung to a quarter peal here last year and was rung especially to thank Pam for her long service as Church Warden & member of the PCC after she stood down from both in March 2017. https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/view.php?id=1166138
The band wish to associate local ringers Ray Cucksey and Ron Applewhite with this quarter.
(No. 387) (Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)
