Rung in memoriam on the Centenary of the death of Private Charles Alfred Coulton of Rougham who enlisted in January 1915 and served in the'D'Coy 2nd and 9th Battalions Suffolk Regiment, No 17791.
He was seriously wounded in June 1917 and after recovery returned to France where he was wounded again on the 30/03/1918 and died of his wounds in Hospital at Etaples, France on 22/4/1918 aged 41.
He is commemorated at the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
Private Coulton left a widow Kate and 2 children Kathleen and William. He was for several years a Chorister and
Bell Ringer at Rougham Parish Church.
