Rung in memoriam of Private William Thomas, ringer at, Chester, Chester Cathedral and Handbridge, of the Chester Diocesan association, who died 100 years ago this day, age 31, while serving in the Cheshire Regiment, 11th Bn. (Service No.45827).
He is commemorated at the Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium, Panel 4 and 5. William was one of five children, son of William Tudor Thomas and the late Hannah Thomas. Husband of Agnes Thomas, whom he married on 05/08/1912, of Handbridge, Chester. Father of Kenneth William Thomas (born 02/03/1915).
