Ringing to Remember – We Will Remember You!
Rung by the local band with the bells half muffled to mark the centenary of the death of Nurse EDITH DOROTHY PEPPER (daughter of the owner of the Manor House) who served in the Queen Alexandria’s Imperial Military Nursing Service, and who died from sickness on 7th April 1918, aged 25. She was the eleventh Nocton resident to be killed during the Great War.
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.
Honourable age does not depend on length of days, nor is the number of years a true measure of life.
(Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)

This performance is linked to the event Saint Andrew's and All Saints Society — Nocton Remembers (WW1 commemorations)
