Rung in memory of Company Sergeant Major William Arthur Ely, Lincolnshire Regiment 1st Battalion who died 21/03/1918 age 28. Sergeant Major Ely had been a ringer at the Norman Tower, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and is commemorated at Pozieres Memorial, France. RIP
