In memory of Private Percy Edward Taylor, a ringer at Feering, Essex. Died 28/11/1917 age unknown. Royal Welsh Fusiliers 2nd Bn. Service No.55883. Commemorated at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium, Grave XVIII H 4. Born 1895. One of two children; both surviving at the 1911 census. Son of Alice Amelia Taylor (née Hayward) and the late James Taylor. He worked as a gardener before enlisting. His brother, Private James William Taylor, King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment), not known to be a bellringer, also fell, on 17/05/1917, and is buried in Karasouli Military Cemetery, Greece. Born: Feering, Essex. Enlisted: Chelmsford. Resided (1911 Census): Feering Street, Kelvedon, Essex.
