Rung to mark the 50th anniversary, on 13th November, of Dr Martin Luther King’s visit to Newcastle University to receive an honorary degree; the only university in the UK to award him one in his lifetime. During his visit, he gave a moving address calling us to support him in the ongoing struggle against war, poverty and racism; his final address outside the US before his assassination in April 1968.
