Rung in honour of the life of Driver Harry Phillip Saffell L/21782 Royal Field Artillery, 'B' Battery, 159th Brigade who died during the Great War on 24/10/1917 aged 23 years. He is commemorated at Ruisseau Farm Cemetery, Belgium.
Former Wenhaston ringer, Harry rang his first peal at Wenhaston on 4/12/1911.
The band celebrated his life with a beer from the Flanders region afterwards.
