Rung in memory of Driver Harry Phillip Saffell, Royal Field Artillery, who was killed in action on 24th October 1917 near Ypres in Belgium and is buried in Ruisseau Farm Cemetery. He learnt to ring at Wenhaston, Suffolk where he rang his first peal on 04/12/1911, and later rang at Leytonstone.
