Rung by the local band on the back five with the bells half muffled to mark the centenary of the death of Lance Corporal ARCHER ALFRED STIFF who served in 7th Battalion of the Lincolnshire Regiment, who was killed in action on 12th October 1917 aged 21. He was the eighth Nocton resident to be killed during the Great War.

40th anniversary of Paul ringing his first quarter, which just happened to be Grandsire Doubles on the third.
