Rung half-muffled, on the day of the centenary of his death, in memory of Pte. William Marsden who died aged 21 years at Ypres while serving with the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). He was the third and last ringer from this tower to be killed in action during the Great War. Each has been commemorated with special ringing and thanks are extended to all who contributed to these special performances.
