Specially arranged in memory of the conductor's great uncle L/Cpl Frederick Fitch Service No.14304, C Company, 9th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment killed in action 20th September 1917 aged 29. He was born and lived in Cavendish and was a groom at Houghton Hall in the 1911 census. He is buried in Mazingarbe Communal Cemetery Extension, grave 3:A:4.
