Commemorated at Bard Cottage Cemetery, Belgium, Grave IV G 40. Born 1883 and baptised 22/04/1883 at Clyro. Son of Richard Anthony and Mary Anthony of Clyro. One of nine children, he worked as a carpenter before enlisting. Born: Clyro. Enlisted: Unknown. Resided: Clyro.

Prior to the quarter peal the vicar led an act of remembrance and the local ringers rang some call changes, including Michael Anthony the great great nephew of Gunner Francis Anthony.
