To mark the centenary of the death of Trowbridge ringer 18595 Private Harold Butcher of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment 15th Bn. killed in action during the Great War on June 4th 1917 aged 27. The 3rd bell at Trowbridge has the inscription "Lest we forget - Harold Butcher a Parish Church ringer killed in action in The Great War" a lasting memory.
