In memory of Private Arthur Ernest Plowman, 13th Battallion, Royal Fusilliers who was killed in France on 29th April 1917, at the age of 19. Arthur, (more usually known as "Ernest"), was a ringer at Beddington. He rang the tenor to one quarter peal of Grandsire Triples at Beddington on Easter Sunday 1916, and was described as "one of Beddington's promising youngsters". He is remembered at the Arras Memorial, bay 3.
