Rung in memory of Private Reginald Harry Clarke, a ringer at this tower, who was killed in action on 19th April 1917 in Gaza whilst serving with the 4th Volunteer Battalion of the Northamptonshire Regiment and who is remembered on the Jerusalem Memorial. He was one of 139 of his Battalion that fell on that day. Their name liveth for evermore.
