On the anniversary of the death, in 1881, of the Rt Hon Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield and Viscount Hughenden. He is buried here and Queen Victoria sent a wreath of primroses (his favourite flower) for his funeral. The Primrose League (1883 - 2004) used to meet here on this date.
