Rung half muffled on the Aeolian (front) five for Good Friday and to remember PC Keith Palmer, who was kiled in the line of duty in London and his funeral was held at Southwark Cathedral earlier this week.
Also rung to mark 100 years since the death of the following Sturminster Marshall residents in the Great War:
SWYERS, HC - Pte Harry Charles Swyers 2 Bn Wiltshire Regiment. Killed in action on 11th March 1917.
VATER, W E - L/Cpl William Edward Vater 2 Bn Northamptonshire Regiment - was kiled in action on 3rd April 1917.
PEARCE, F G - Pte Frederick George Pearce 1 Bn Dorset Regiment. Frederick was born in Wimborne and resided in Sturminster Marshall. He died exactly 100 years ago today on 14th April 1917.
