Rung in memory of Chris Roberts. The last time he and Jackie were here was to supervise the laying of the new carpet, a few years ago. The conductor had a list of eight ringers the night before; but illness reduced the band to six before everybody had left home. An attack of vertigo further reduced us to five. The first quarter of Doubles on the back five for many a year; very likely the first ever - and with luck the last.
