Rung half muffed in memory of Elizabeth Ann Heeley MBE on the day of her funeral. Ann was a very active member of the Church and community in Butleigh for many years. She was awarded the MBE in the new Year Honours List 2010, for voluntary service to the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury. Among Ann’s significant contributions to the Somerset historical archive, were hundreds of oral history recordings. One of these was an interview with David Bromwich (treble ringer) who maintained the archives in Taunton Castle, and is the Bath & Wells DACR librarian.
