Rung by the local band with the bells half muffled in the evening on Armistice Day in memory of all those who have lost their lives fighting for our Country in conflicts past and present, especially during the two World Wars. We will remember them.
Rung remembering the 13 men of this parish who lost their lives in the Great War, especially:
Private REUBEN HORTON (30th Jan 1915, aged 35)
Private FRANK MILNER (9th Aug 1915, aged 20)
Private WILLIAM RAWSON (24th Aug 1915, aged 23)
all of whom were killed during 1915 in the Great War.
We especially remember Private KENNETH DYKES, who died on 31st July 1917 aged 19. Kenneth was a ringer at this Church.
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.
(Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)
