Conductor's 25th Peal of Plain Bob Major, 200th Peal as Conductor and completes all August dates to Peals. Rung in thanksgiving for the end of World War II in Japan and in memory of those who lost their lives at the Battle of Anafarta Ridge, Gallipoli on 12th August 1915. This included many local soldiers of the Sandringham Company, commanded by Capt Frank Reginald Beck, uncle of the Holt Tower Captain, Theo Crowder who is celebrating her 79th birthday today.
