Rung by the local band (and their instructor) and arranged especially to welcome the Woodchurch Morris Men to "The Shepherd & Crook", where they performed outside the pub & led musical interludes inside (including the Conductor's rendition of "When Father papered the parlour") until a very late hour.
Especial birthday compliments to the Treble ringer (11th June), David H. Gower, Hon. Life member of Burmarsh Bellringing Band (75 on 20th June), the Conductor's mother (69 on 20th June), and Messrs Ian & Phillip Renyard (of the Ashford ringers - 28th June)
and to congratulate the Conductor on
his initiation as a member of the Guild of Servants of the Sanctuary [Founded 1898] (East Kent Chapter of St Michael the Archangel) at Dover Castle Chapel on 25th June, and remembering those to be validly ordained across England in ceremonies tomorrow.
