Especially arranged and rung on the back six by a local band to mark the 300th anniversary of the casting of bells 3, 4 & 8 in 1713 by Abraham Rudhall of Gloucester and therefore the augmentation of bells 5, 6 & 7 to a peal of six (the present back six), which existed until the further augmentation to the present eight took place in 1896.

Rung also to mark the 300th anniversary of the casting of the four bells at neighbouring St Thomas’ Heighington which were also cast at the same time as the Washingborough bells in 1713 by Abraham Rudhall of Gloucester.

Rung in memory of Timothy Pike Gent who was the benefactor of the three new bells at Washingborough and also the four bells at Heighington in 1713.

Also to celebrate the Patronal Festival yesterday.
