Rung on Whit Sunday prior to Evensong to congratulate Councillor Raymond Cucksey, Tower Captain at this Church, for completing his 12 months as Chairman of North Kesteven District Council and also to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters Raid, 16th/17th May 1943, on the Ruhr Valley Dams by 617 Squadron which was based at and flew from RAF Scampton.
