Rung half-muffled on the back six in memory of Wilfred Thomas Ashton, ringer at this church. Born at Condover in 1894, he served in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and died of meningitis at the First Eastern Military Hospital, Cambridge on 28 March 1915
