Rung on the festival of St Winebald, brother of St Willibald who was Abbot of Heidenheim, an important centre of clergy education, as a birthday compliment to Michael Haynes whose birthday was this day. Winebald was the name of a donkey (owned by the Vicar?) who graced many nativity plays in the area in the 20th Century.
