Specially arranged and rung in memory of Samuel Rodgers, Great Uncle of the conductor, who was killed 75 years ago this day when HMS Glorious was sunk during WWII, he is commemorated on the village War Memorial.

With the death earlier this year of Robert (Bob) the last surviving Brother, meant that 108 years of this generation of the Rodgers family came to an end (1907 – 2015).
