In celebration of the Golden Wedding Anniversary and renewal of matrimonial vows of Anne and Peter Tuppen, members of the local band, married in this church on October 7th, 1961. Phillip is their son-in-law. Alan is Anne's nephew. Chris and Michael are former ringing masters. Other current and former Putney ringers present for the occasion and wishing to be associated with this quarter included their daughter Sarah Hughes, current Putney ringing master, former ringing masters Tony Clayton and Brian Bull and Ann Mew, Michael Bull, Alison and Michael Bayley, Cherry Steward, Chris Carroll and Gordon Gibb. And a lot of others.
