In gratitude to those of Glasbury Parish who served in the armed forces and especially the three bell ringers who lost their lives in the 1914-18 War: Privates A. Hamer, W. A. Jones and W. R. Jones. A half-muffled peal was rung at Glasbury in their honour on 4 January 1920 in 3 hours and 23 minutes.
