Rung to mark the 50th anniversary of the first peal of Norman Smith's groundbreaking composition, rung at this tower 50 years ago to the day. The ringers of 4, 5 and 6 were in the original peal. Maryl Chambers, née Crossthwaite, wishes to be associated with the peal; her son-in-law rang the 7th as representative for the three Crossthwaite family members in the original band.
