Rung on the front three to mark the eve of the centenary of the tank being first used in combat on 15th September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme.
The tank was invented, developed and first built here in Lincoln at the William Foster & Co Wellington Foundry Lincoln which stood around a mile away from this Church.
