Rung as a memorial to Christopher G BALL, Private, Gloucestershire Regiment 12th (Bristol) Bn. Son of George and Charlotte Ball of The Gardens, Dyrham and past ringer in this parish who was killed in action 100 years ago today and whose memorial is at the Thiepval Memorial, France. Also remembering William TANDY of the same regiment, killed in action on 29th July 1916 also remembered at the Thiepval Memorial. His parents were residents of Dyrham. Also Joseph Charles NASH Gloucestershire Regiment 6th Bn., resident of Dyrham, killed in action on 5th November 1916 and who is buried at the Warlencourt British Cemetary
