Rung half muffled on the centenary of the first day of the Battle of the Somme. Remembering especially the 4 soldiers of St. Thomas's parish who died during July 1916, Captain Barry Hill, 10th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, Died 01.07.1916, Captain Douglas Hill O’Flaherty, 15th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, Died 01.07.1916, Rifleman William Totten, 11th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, Died 01.07.1916 and Second Lieutenant David Bertram Corbett, 17th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, Died 03.07.1916.
