Rung half-muffled as part of the Somme commemoration at Derby Cathedral and for Private William John Davies who died on 11th June 1916, aged 22. He was in the 4th (Queen’s Own) Hussars Service No.13284 and is buried at Voormezeele Enclosure No.3, Belgium, Grave XIV A II. He lived in Derby and may have rung at the Cathedral. Also rung in memory of another soldier, Joseph Bradley, who was the late Gordon Halls' uncle. He served in the Post Office Rifles and died on 15th September 1916. He has no known grave and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial in France.
