First of Grandsire:3. Rung in memory of Private John W Garbutt, 15th Bn of W Yorks Regiment (Prince of Wales' Own), who was killed on 09/06/1916 aged 26, and of Bombardier Frank Poole of the Royal Field Artillery "X" 32nd Trench Mortar Bty, who was killed on 26/06/1916 aged 27. Both were ringers at this tower and rang in the first peal on the bells, which was Grandsire Triples, in October 1912.
