Rung half-muffled in memory of Ship's Corporal George Harry Bond, 20/6/1881-5/6/1916, who died following the sinking of HMS Hampshire on which he was serving at the time. The same sinking claimed the life of British Commander-in-Chief Lord Kitchener. One of a series of peals commemorating every man from this parish who was killed in WW1.
