In memory of Arthur Daniel White (died 5th April 1916) and William Wood (died 20th April 1916) both of this parish who gave their lives for their King and Country - Their names liveth for evermore.

Also remembering Sir Arthur Percival Heywood, composer of this well known composition, founder and first President of the Central Council, who died 100 years ago on April 19th 1916.
