Originally published 23 May 1919, it shows the full band that rang a peal of Grandsire Caters at South Croydon on 3 May 1919 (subsequently found to be false).  All eight of the band who rang in the first officers' peal at Putney were also in that band.

The original caption read, Back Row (from left to righit.): 2nd-Lieut E P Duffield RAF; Lieut C F Johnston 3rd Grenadier Guards; Lieut A E Reeves RDC; 2nd-Lieut W C Duffield Norfolk Regt; Capt J H R Freeborn 4th York and Lancs Regt; 2nd-Lieut York Bramble RAF.
