Rung in celebration of the life of Bishop John Satterthwaite (11 August 1928-23 April 2016), Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore from 1971-2001. Bishop Satterthwaite was well loved in Lismore and a strong supporter of ecumenicalism.

Also remembering those who died and were injured in the Port Arthur Massacre 20 years ago (28 April 1996) and we think of their loved ones at this time. Southern Cross University Law student, Jim Pollard was one of the victims and the Jim Pollard Memorial Garden at the Lismore campus contains 35 trees in remembrance of all those who died.

The SES is very special to this tower as it protected the tower, the bells and the whole church after the October 2007 storm with prompt action in boarding up the tower and covering up the destroyed church roof with tarpaulins. Thankyou Lismore SES.

Rung for the Evensong of the Birth of St John the Baptist and the instillation of Rev. Gerry Nixon as a clerical canon of the cathedral. Gerry is also the chaplain at St Mary's Anglican Girl's School.

Rung to celebrate the Friendship Festival today in the City of Lismore which honours Lismore's connection with Northern Italy and the sister city relationship with Conegliano, Northern Italy. The festival also honours the contribution made by Italian settlers over the past 134 years. Included in the festival is Piazza in the Park held around the Italian monument in Spinks Park where people can be "Italian for the day".

This QP was rung in the coldest temperature recorded in the Lismore tower after heavy frosts and below zero temperatures. The temperature climbed to 3 degrees at the conclusion of ringing. Not quite our usual steamy, hot and humid days.

Rung for the 100th anniversary thanksgiving celebrations of the formation of the 41st Battalion, Royal New South Wales Regiment. The 41st Battalion, then AIF, was formed in early 1916 and was en route to England in early July 1916 and started in battle on the Western Front in November 1916.

"Mors Ante Pudorem", Death before Dishonour, no member of the battalion has ever been captured in battle.

St Andrews is the garrison church of the 41st Battalion with headquarters in Lismore.

Rung to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battles of Fromelles and Pozieres on the Western Front. These battles were the first major involvement of Australian forces on the Western Front. The first day of the Battle of Fromelles was the worst day in Australian military history with 1,917 dead in 24 hours.

The great grandfather of the conductor was involved in the Battle of Pozieres as a medical officer. For his gallantry in saving wounded soldiers he was awarded the Military Cross. Dr Corlis (1st ANZAC Corps) refused to retreat choosing instead to stay and treat the wounded. He epitomised the catch cry of the battle “Don’t forget me cobber”.

Charles Bean wrote of the bravery of those involved in Fromelles and Pozieres “rises above the mists of time, a monument to great hearted men, and their nation – a possession for ever”

Rung for Lismore electorate's Vietnam Veteran's Day commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan on 18th August 1966. The Battle of Long Tan is arguably the most famous battle from the Vietnam War which saw 108 soldiers of the 6th Battalion, Australian Royal Infantry, confront and overcome an overwhelming Viet Cong force of up to an estimated 2500. Hundreds of Viet Cong soldiers were killed. 18 Australian soldiers lost their lives and another 24 were wounded. We will remember them.
