First peal by H.Hoyle and H.Washbrook (aged 12). Rang with the bells muffled in memory of the Earl of Carysfort, the donor of these bells, who was burried at Elton, Hunts., on September 9th. He was a kind and Christian gentleman, and spent upwards of £40,000 on Arklow church.
